I’m Gavin Tutton, a carpenter and kitchen fitting specialist based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

I established Gavin Tutton Carpentry in 2007, my experience in the trade now spans more than 20 years. Since then, I’ve worked in homes across Kenilworth, Warwickshire and beyond, building my business largely through recommendations, repeat customers and word of mouth.

I specialise in fitted kitchens, carpentry and bespoke projects, but whatever the size of the job, my approach is the same: listen carefully, take pride in every detail and treat every home as if it were my own.

Your project, from start to finish

When you choose an independent tradesperson, I think you should know exactly who you're trusting with your home.

With Gavin Tutton Carpentry, the person you meet at the beginning is the person responsible for your project.

I’ll take the time to understand what you want to achieve, talk through the practicalities and offer straightforward advice based on years of experience. Where your project requires other trades, I can coordinate the work, including plumbing, electrical work and plastering, helping everything run smoothly from start to finish. If I think something could be done differently or there's a better way to achieve the result you're looking for, I'll tell you.

Good communication matters to me just as much as good workmanship. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, discussing ideas and knowing what's happening throughout your project.

It's all in the detail

A beautifully finished project is often about the things you don't immediately notice: the alignment, the joins, the proportions and all those small finishing details that make everything feel right.

That's where experience matters.

I’m naturally particular about my work and I don't believe in rushing the details simply to get onto the next job. Whether I'm fitting a complete kitchen, creating bespoke storage or completing a smaller carpentry project, the standard of workmanship should be the same.

If I'm putting my name to it, I want to be proud of it.

It's something I'm incredibly proud of, but my day-to-day business remains exactly what it has always been, working directly with homeowners and creating something they'll enjoy for years to come.

Proudly based in Kenilworth

Kenilworth is home. I was born and educated here, which is why I chose to establish my business here in 2007.

Nearly two decades later, I'm incredibly proud that so much of my work still comes through local recommendations and word of mouth.

For me, there is no better endorsement than finishing a project for one customer and later getting a call from their friend, neighbour or family member because they've recommended me.
